Congratulations to the 11 Laker High School Band students who auditioned and were accepted into the Tri-County Honors Band! They'll be performing with the Honors Band later this month, along with other high school band members from Huron, Tuscola, and Sanilac counties. Dear Laker Families,
Due to poor road conditions, Laker Schools will be closed tomorrow. The Elementary Christmas Program for 3rd–5th grade will be rescheduled for December 18th at 6 pm. In addition, the Legacy Center will open on a delayed schedule at 10 am. Please take care if you're out on the roads.

The Laker FFA conducted its Living To Serve fundraiser campaign last week, and the chapter raised $11,700! This will be donated to local food pantries, Thumb Breadbasket, and some EPBP Laker families. Thank you to all who donated!

Congratulations to our three Laker FFA teams that qualified for national competition! They all competed this week at the FFA National Convention. The Ag Communications Team, which includes Henry Haag, Olivia Delmotte, Olivia Hooper, and Hesston Keim, received the Silver Award. The Poultry Evaluation Team, which includes Nate Radomski, Riley McIntosh, Lydia Rokicki, and Julia Shupe, received the Bronze Award. The Floriculture Team, which includes Sadie Steinman, Skylar Steinman, Eva Zagorski, and Ava Morell, also received the Bronze Award. Also, this was the first ever Laker FFA Floriculture Team to compete at the national level! So many great successes this week for our Laker FFA chapter! Plenty to be proud of!

Coming up in November, the Laker Theatre Company will present "The Christmas Schooner," a play about the hauling of Christmas trees in Michigan in 1886. Show dates and times are as follows:
Friday, Nov. 21 @ 6:30
Saturday, Nov. 22 @ 6:30
Sunday, Nov. 23 @ 3:30
Ticket Information : $10 per ticket, and free for Laker Students. There will be no pre-orders.
The show, which includes 30 students (including cast and crew) will feature live accompaniment!

Congratulations to the Laker Volleyball program! Through their fundraising efforts during Dig Pink on Oct. 14, they raised $925.60 for Relay for Life! Great job, ladies! Thank you to all who participated in the fundraisers.
