U.S. News and World Report recently released its 2026 Best Elementary Schools ranking, and Laker Elementary placed among the top 40% of elementary schools in Michigan, making it a U.S. News Best Elementary School. Dig Pink is coming up Oct. 14 at Laker High! Come on out to support this fundraiser for Relay for Life. A bake sale and gift basket auction will be taking place. During the parent-teacher conferences on Oct. 30, stop by the Used Book Sale from 1 to 6 p.m. at the high school. Books are just 50 cents a piece! Proceeds go to support the Laker Theatre Company. Refreshments will be served. DONATIONS ARE NEEDED! Please drop off any used books at the secondary school office.

Warm up your insides before the football game Oct. 10 - come to the Soup and Chili Cookoff! It will be from 5 to 6:45 p.m. at the Legacy Center. Sample a variety of soups and chilis and pick your favorite! Meals are $7 for adults and $5 for students. This is a fundraiser for the junior class.Soup and Chili flyer

The 2025 Laker Homecoming Senior Court and Class Representatives have been announced!

The 2025 Homecoming Class Representatives are, from the left, freshmen Walter Haag and Savannah Sharrard, sophomores Raiden Bishop and Claire Suggitt, and juniors Matthew Murdoch and Leila Stone.
The Homecoming King will be announced at the pep assembly Oct. 3. The Homecoming Queen will be announced during halftime of the varsity game vs. Sandusky Oct. 3.
The parade will be at 5 p.m. Oct. 3 in Pigeon. The Homecoming game will begin at 7 p.m. Oct. 3.
