Laker Middle School makes traversing the middle school years much more pleasant and rewarding. Our middle school teachers have hearts of gold and understand the unique needs of this age group. The teachers and other staff work hard every day to help each student flourish, not only in academics but also in social/emotional skills.

Sixth and seventh graders enjoy exploratory classes, such as Robotics, Art, and Engineering, and eighth graders can take Mechatronics. Many of these classes are in the excellent Innovation Center, something that very few schools have. Middle school students have the opportunity to attend fun nights tailored just for them, along with Homecoming and Coming Home assemblies. Each day, students have Seminar time, which is used for Capturing Kids' Hearts lessons on various character traits, completing homework and studying, visiting the Laker Legacy Center, and participating in team-building activities. During seminar time each Friday, middle school students have an assembly, and many of them are planned by the students themselves and are packed full of fun activities. Laker Middle School students are well cared for in many ways, every day.
