welcome to the sail academy

SAIL Academy students and staff

At SAIL, it is our honor to work with your student, helping them with their education based on their personal and individual needs, while keeping the focus on them and their future. SAIL offers a unique opportunity to earn a fully accredited diploma through the Laker School District, focusing on work readiness, life skills, and social-emotional growth.

SAIL will work with students who are looking for an alternative learning style, in need of credit recovery, or those who might be looking for a lighter load within their schedule for work placements. We offer a quality online learning curriculum for grades K-12. Learning can be done at home, offering flexiblity for the student. In-person assistance at SAIL is also available for those who need it.

While SAIL is an online platform, students aren't excluded from in-person activities. SAIL students can participate in Laker extracurricular activities. High school SAIL students can take any elective class at Laker High, such as forensic science, Mechatronics, band, choir, or another elective. Also, high school SAIL students can take classes at the Huron Area Technical Center (which is for juniors and seniors), and participate in work-based learning (for those 16 years old and up) while earning high school credit.

SAIL Academy staff stay in regular contact (no less than once a week) with all students and work to build relationships with them to help ensure every student flourishes.
