Laker High School will develop, in all students, the ability to live and learn in an ever-changing and diverse world; to master academic and technological skills; to communicate, cooperate, and work as a team; and to think critically and be effective problem solvers.

Laker High School provides a world-class education in a rural setting, complete with unique classes such as Mechatronics, forensic science, anatomy, and more. Block scheduling for two periods a day allows students more opportunities for elective classes. The school has impeccable facilities, including an Innovation Center, college-level science labs, a Legacy Center, a Wellness Clinic, a weight-lifting room, a beautiful and spacious cafeteria, and much more. Technology and security are top-notch, along with the selection of extracurricular activities in athletics, arts, FFA, and STEM. Most importantly, our staff members go above and beyond every day for our students, helping prepare them well for life after Lakers. Academic tutoring is available several times a week. A counselor, social worker, and others provide social-emotional support. Students can also take dual enrollment courses through the HISD and Mid-Michigan College, allowing them to earn college credits. Laker High offers so much in order to ensure students are well-rounded and ready for life after high school.
