Laker High School’s chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) significantly expanded its ranks recently, welcoming 40 new inductees during a formal ceremony held in the school auditorium on Monday, November 10. The prestigious induction brings the total chapter membership to 88 students.
The ceremony recognized students who have demonstrated exemplary achievement in the four foundational pillars of NHS: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character.
Chapter advisor Jeff Etzel praised the inductees for meeting the rigorous standards required for membership. "These students are not just high achievers in the classroom; they are demonstrating the character and leadership necessary to make a real impact in our community," Etzel added, "With 88 committed members, our capacity for supporting community events and supporting the school is stronger than ever. I look forward to seeing the positive contributions these new inductees will make,"
